GATE or we can say Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a national level entrance exam for admission to PG courses in the field of technology and engineering. Applicants can get admissions into Ph.D./ M.Tech. programmes in IISc, IITs,  IISERs and other well-reputed institutions through GATE score. Every year, The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE Exam. GATE 2019 Dates will be notified/ informed in July 2019.
The operations related to GATE in 8 zones all over India are managed by a Zonal GATE Office at IISc. or IITs. Apart from giving admission, a score of gate exam is also considered one of the standard/ criteria for recruitment to private & government associations working in technical fields. The Organizing Institute (OI) is responsible for the end-to-end process and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. Before Applying for Gate Exam Applicants are firstly required to check the complete Eligibility Criteria, GATE 2019 Application procedure and also need to ready all the required Document that will be further needed in the Examination hall and in the admission Procedure.

Highlights of GATE 2019 are:

  • Examinations for all papers would be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT). The online exam will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Questions where answers are to be keyed in by the applicants using virtual keypad
  • GATE 2019 examinations are to be held on 1st week of February, 2019 & February 2nd week, 2019 (i.e. only on Saturdays and Sundays)
  • For GATE 2019 the entire process of filling up application form, uploading of certificates/documents etc. is online and the applicants need not send any hard copy of their application form/documents, etc. to any of the IIT/IISc zonal GATE office
  • The payment of application fees is online through different modes like net banking or e-challan
  • Applicants have to download their admit cards from GATE 2019 website
  • GATE 2019 score is valid for 3 yrs from the date of Result Announcement

GATE 2019 Registration Process: Eligible applicants were required to register online to apply for GATE 2019. To register, applicants should have entered valid email ID, mobile number and create a GOAPS password. The applicants received all the registration details on their registered email ID. Applicants must use only GATE 2019 user id and password for filling GATE application form 
GATE 2019 application form: To fill GATE application form 2019 applicants must enter the enrolment ID and password provided to them during registration. In the application form applicants must enter the following details:
  • Personal Details
  • Academic Details
  • Contact Information
  • GATE Exam Centres
  • GATE Photo Identity
Payment of Fees: The application fee of GATE 2019 for general category applicants is Rs. 1500. The fee can be paid online only through debit card, credit card and net banking. Overseas applicants have to pay through net banking or credit card.
Documents uploading: There is requirement to fill/take certain documents as well which you will acknowledge from the official website of exam conducting authority. Check out the site carefully and upload them as per the need.
Final Submission of GATE Application form 2019: Before submitting the GATE 2019 application form, applicants must ensure that all the details and all the necessary documents and images uploaded correctly. Applicants must ensure that there are no errors while submitting the GATE application form.
